ENIGMA GIRLS by Candace Fleming

A new release from Candace Fleming? SOLD!! (If you are familiar with her books such as Honeybee and Narwhal than you know what I'm talking about!) Fleming is a masterful storyteller and her newest nonfiction book, The Enigma Girls, is no exception. Get ready to be blown away by these 10 girls!

First of all, this book is a squeaky clean YA READ! (Am I hearing cheers from all of you right now??!) Second, it takes place inside the infamous Bletchley Park, the intimidating manor house that became the center of secrets and code breaking during WWII in England. Third, Fleming does an AMAZING job of showing readers who these girls were and the job that they each did that contributed mightily to the cause of defeating Hitler and the Japanese during the war. Fourth, Fleming gives readers SUPER COOL what I'm calling Break Out Sections that show how codes and ciphers were broken. They are captivating!

All-in-all if you have teens that love WWII, mysteries and codes, girls doing great things, or the idea of Bletchley Park, you will not want to miss this read! This is one that I did not want to put down! HIGHLY RECOMMEND which is why it's joining my FAVORITES BOOKLIST!

Sharing stories, building faith, and growing together, one book at a time.
