FAMILY OF SPIES

FAMILY OF SPIES by Christine Kuehn
GREEN LIGHT
AGES: 11Th GRADE - ADULT
Imagine growing up in a home where your relatives are never discussed. Imagine receiving a letter in the mail from someone who is writing the script for a movie about WWII spies and wants to know about your family who supposedly played a key role in the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Imagine growing up and never knowing anything about any of this. Now, imagine that all of this is actually true, because it is. It really happened to Christine Kuehn, the author of Family of Spies. That unexpected letter launched a nightmare into her life that sent her scrambling to find out who her aunt, uncle, and grandparents really were and what they had done. The result was a true story so unthinkable and troubling, it's almost hard to come to terms with. To say this story captivated me would be the understatement of the century. This story is making a fast track to my SARAH'S FAVORITES BOOKLIST!
This is a perfect read for those interested in unique stories surrounding WWII, for those interested in Pearl Harbor, or for those looking for a read in honor of Pearl Harbor Day which will be here very soon!
HEADS UP- This book, while intense, is not gory. Obviously, we all know what happened at Pearl Harbor and the actions shared in this book lead up to that event.
