As Father's Day approaches, sometimes it's easy to forget that not all dads are with us. Some have passed away leaving a hole where their presence used to be. In this absoutely gorgeous. moving picture book, two brothers head off to a favorite swimming spot at the lake where there father once took them. Spending time in the water and with each other helps them to connect with the father who is no longer with them. While this book obviously deals with a diffficult topic, it celebrates the joy of the brothers being together and embracing a favorite memory.

This beautiful picture book absolutely overflows with the colors of summer. Yellows for the hot summer sun. Blues that are so cool I almost felt like I was slipping into the water for a swim. Delightfully refreshing.
