Hi, I’m Sarah, a follower of Jesus, a wife, and a homeschooling mom of five.

I’ve loved books for as long as I can remember, thanks to my mom, who filled my childhood with read-alouds, library trips, and audiobooks while we traveled.

After 18 years of homeschooling, reading remains a huge part of my life (you’ll even find me reading during timeouts at my kids’ games!).

"What We're Reading" (my Facebook page) was born during the pandemic when two things happened:

First, I started buying more books and realized that some weren’t a good fit for our family.  Second, I lost my closest friend and book buddy.  While I could never replace that friendship, I still longed for a space to talk about books and share honest, helpful reviews.

This website was created because I had over 1000 posts on Facebook and they needed organized and more easily accessible.  This space is a place to connect, discover, and enjoy thoughtful reading together.
