This large, 96-page, nonfiction book features 25 worldwide rivers that have spooky traits to them such as dangerous chemicals, extreme temperatures, disappearing underground caverns, weird creatures, and more. Some of the rivers' names will be recognizable; some will be unfamiliar. Either way, each river will capture you with its eerie elements.

While reading through this book to review, my husband walked by and saw it. His comment to me was, as a kid, that was exactly the type of book he would have enjoyed. Lots of bright, comic-styled illustrations; true, captivating content: and a good air of mystery.

This is not a book that you have to read in its entirety or in order. There is the option of reading it cover-to-cover or flipping the pages to see what catches your attentiion. It's a win-win either way! Use it as a read-aloud or as a read-by-myself, It's perfect for either!

HEADS UP - There are a couple of references to evolutionary content (millions of years).

Sharing stories, building faith, and growing together, one book at a time.
