Mommas - if you have a sweet little one that hovers around your legs asking lots of questions or if you have an early riser when you tend to be a night owl, this book is for you (and you can share it with your child(ren) if you choose!) This picture book, excuse me for this, is a hoot! I laughed as I read through it the first time and truly enjoyed the points that were well laced throughout the story! I'm not going to explain this so you can enjoy the book - Knight Owl ends up losing his temper, but through a fun twist little Early Bird ends up saving him. Popular author and Caldecott winner, Christopher Denise, hit it out of the park with this wonderful follow up to Knight Owl!

I've got to take a minute and just sing the praises of the illustrations in this book. Done in browns, warm glow yellows, muted shades of reds and blues, and snowy night scenes with grays and blacks, this book is a great read for anytime but especially cold, wintery days. The artwork is fantastic and kids will enjoy taking in all the fun details of this great read.
