Fox lives by himself in the middle of the woods. One day, he receives a mysterious letter that starts him on a hunt to solve a puzzle. The journey takes him to several places that he clearly enjoyed with his best friend, Bear, but Fox doesn't want to think about those times. It makes him remember the very last time they were together - the time they had a fight and went their separate ways. Of course, when Fox gets to the end of his journey and solves the puzzle, there waits Bear. Now, Fox has a choice. Is he going to hold onto his anger and unforgiveness, or will he let it go and have his best friend back? That is a choice we all face at some point in our lives.

I really love the illustrations in this book. Griffiths keeps a dark palette, but he lightens the mood by using detailed, cartoon-styled illustrations. They are an absolute delight to spend time examining closely as we follow Fox on his journey.
