ALL BY HIMSELF? by Elana K. Arnold. Illustrated by Giselle Potter.
All By Himself is the thought provoking picture book that explores the idea do we really do anything completely by ourselves? In the case of the picture book, a small boy creates a masterpiece out of his blocks, but did he actually do it all on his own? No, it involved an entire cast of behind-the-scenes people from the grandmother who purchased the blocks to the man who tended the tree that the wood came from that made the blocks. This book explores the life truth (in a very basic manner) that as people, we really do need each other and are dependent on each other no matter how self-sufficient we may desire to be. This book is a great reminder no matter your age!
