-Seven Fat Cows/ Seven Lean Cows is a reference to the story of Joseph who lived in Egypt during 7 years of plenty and 7 years of famine according to the Bible. As our reading unfolds we see Napoleon return and the end of the monarchy again.
- The letter contains the details of Napoleon's return which is already in motion when the letter gets to the king
-Complicated is an understatement. Whose side is he on? He's on the side that benefits him the most. (Just wait until this week's reading!)
