A KILLING COLD by Kate Alice Marshall
Unfortunately, this was a DNF for me.
Theodora "Theo" Scott is newly engaged to Connor Dalton, and it's time to meet "the family." A bit out of her league, Theo will be joining them at Idlewood, their private winter retreat in the mountains. This sounds like the perfect way to spend a few days, except not all is as it seems. First, there's the chilly reception from the family members. Second, there's the story about Connor's deceased father that doesn't quite add up. Third, the unbelievable happens. Theo finds a picture of herself as a child at Idlewood in an empty cabin which means this isn't her first time there, yet she has no memory of the place. Fourth, a murder occurs, and the family begins to close rank protecting each other in ways that make it seem like they've done this before. No one would dare question this family, so If any truth is coming out, it will be up to Theo to discover it. The question is will she last long enough to find out what that is?
